Lousiville, KY - The resume continues to grow for senior outside hitter Macarty McQueen, who was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association East Region Player of the Year on Wednesday, headlining five All-Region selections for the Adelphi volleyball program.

McQueen is one of three Panthers to earn First Team honors, as she is joined by Madeleine Chaapel and Ana Carolina Westerich. The pair of outside hitters rank first and second, respectively, on the kills leaderboard and account for over three kills per set every time they step on the court.

McQueen leads all Northeast 10 Conference players this season in kills (426), kills per set (4.02), points (472.5) and points per set (4.46). She ranks in the Top 20 in kills and in the Top 30 in points among all Division II players. She became just the second player in Adelphi program history to earn NE10 Player of the Year, joining Megan Manierski, who accomplished the feat in 2015.

Westerich was an NE10 First Team selection in her first year with the Panthers, pacing the offense all the way to the program's 16th NCAA tournament berth. she averages nearly 10 assists per set.

Rounding out the All-Region honors was Delaney Kiendra and Autumn Moore, who both picked up Honorable Mention recognition. In addition to her team-leading 482 digs, Moore has produced 142 assists this season, good enough for second on the team behind Westerich.

Kiendra ranks third on the team in kills with 205 thus far through 32 games and ranks second for the Brown and Gold in solo blocks (12).

Adelphi will open up NCAA East Region play on Thursday, Dec. 4 when they take on no. 7 Holy Family in the first round of the tournament. All games will be played at top-seeded Bentley University. For more information on the East Region tournament, click here
