Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

No Doubt Victory Sends Men's Lacrosse Back to NE10 Final

Garden City, N.Y. - The top-seeded Adelphi men's lacrosse program will head back to the Northeast-10 Conference final after a year hiatus, following a commanding 19-7 victory over fourth-seeded Bentley University on Wednesday evening.

Ironically, it was the Falcons that ended the conference title run a year ago, when they took down Adelphi 7-4 in the 2023 semifinals.

Kyle Lewis put together a team-leading six point performance as he and Eamon Hall both accounted for four goals apiece in the landslide win.

Bentley (9-5) struggled to find a successful clear in the early going, and ultimately only finish 9-17 in the category while the home team went nearly perfect at 20-21. In the span that the Falcons continued to turn the ball over, Adelphi rattled off five goals to lead by four after the opening quarter.

The scoring spree continued well into the second as the Panther defense held the visitors to a single score in the first three quarters. Nearly 20 minutes went by before Bentley found the back of the cage in frame two, following back to back tallies from Hall. By then the damage was done, despite success for the Falcons at the faceoff X.

NE10 Goalkeeper and Player of the Year Dylan Renner continued his brick wall approach, stopping near, far and angle shots that the Falcon offense threw his way. He finished with 13 in the victory, including five in the second quarter alone.

Bentley managed back-to-back goals to open the fourth but a quick win at X for Stephen Bayer, coupled with a fast break goal made it 13-5 in favor of the home team. Conor Segreti seemed to get it together for the Falcons, scoring three times in the frame, but the Panthers continued to pour in goals and running up the score. Colin Hansen put back two straight and the scoring concluded with a season-first from Cameron Logan with 2:01 left on the clock to make it 19-6.

Head Coach Gordon Purdie and his squad eye the program's fifth NE10 Conference title, and what would be the second in three years, when they host #2 Saint Anselm College on Saturday, May 4. Opening faceoff is set for 3:00 p.m., following the Adelphi women's quarterfinal matchup at noon.
