Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

#4 Men's Lax Rolls Past Saint Rose, 14-4

Garden City, N.Y. - Under less than ideal conditions, the no. 4 Adelphi University men's lacrosse program secured a 14-4 win against the College of Saint Rose on Wednesday night, with the help of six points from Brian Harinski

In addition to Harinski's explosion on offense, teammate Eamon Hall reached the century mark in career points after notching one goal and two assists. In all, nine different players recorded a point with seven different goal-scorers.

Braden Donnellan went back-to-back to open the scoring for the hosts, ultimately finishing with his second five-point game of his rookie campaign. Kyle Lewis connected with Hall to quickly jump out to a 3-0 lead but Saint Rose (5-7, 0-4 NE10) scored the next two to cut its deficit to one. After trading a pair of goals down the stretch, the Panthers (7-2, 5-0 NE10) managed to hold a one-goal lead at the conclusion of the first.

The Golden Knights held the advantage at the faceoff X, but Adelphi's defense coupled with selective shots, the home team exploded in the second quarter with five unanswered goals. Harinski was responsible for a hat trick to start the frame, scoring within the first three minutes. Lewis matched his career-best five points in tonight's victory, adding a goal at 9:40 in the second to extend the Adelphi lead to 8-3. Gavin Herzog wanted in on the scoring spree, tallying his first collegiate goal for the half came to a close.

Adelphi's nine-goal slide spanned the second and nearly all the third until Saint Rose scored its final goal against the Panthers with 2:38 in the third quarter.

Dylan Renner finished up his watch between the pipes after collecting a season-high 17 saves with eight minutes left in the final quarter, to be relieved by Aidan Green who accounted for five saves. Rounding out the goalkeeping duties, Brandon Kessler stepped in and stopped two shots wihile also allowing no goals.

Adelphi will hit the road for its next Northeast-10 matchup against Assumption University on Saturday, April 6.
