Mansfield, Mass. - Another winning week turns into another weekly honor for
Dylan Renner as he was tabbed the Northeast-10 Conference Goalkeeper of the Week for the sixth time this season, announced by the league on Monday.
Helping the Panthers secure its sixth Regular Season title over the weekend, Renner has successfully held opponents to single digit scoring in the last nine games -- all of which Adelphi won by three or more goals, excluding it's one-goal victory over no. 7 Saint Anselm.
Coming in at no. 4 for the sixth consecutive week in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) poll, the Roslyn Heights native recorded his second game this season with 20 or more saves to extend the Adelphi win streak to nine. He currently boasts the best save percentage and goals-allowed-average in the conference, ranking first nationally with a mark of 7.24.
Also included in this week's report was
Braden Donnellan and
Jack Hipchen.
Donnellan scored a quarter of Adelphi's goals in the no. 4 team's 8-7 win over no. 7 Saint Anselm. In both attempts at the cage, he found the back of the net and also collected three ground balls along the way. Hipchen aided the Panther defense in its lone game of the week, causing three turnovers and scooping up three ground balls sll while Adelphi held Saint Anselm to seven goals. On the other side of the ball he contributed one assist.
Adelphi closes out the regular season with a 3:00 p.m. meeting on Tuesday at Assumption. Following the conclusion of five league games, the official 2024 NE10 Championship bracket will be released.
