Farmingdale, N.Y. - After sending three individuals to compete, Adelphi University men's golf team's own
Alec Ramos secured a runner-up finish at the Farmingdale Spring Invitational, hosted by Farmingdale State College at Bethpage Red Golf Course.
The Panthers did not compete as a team and thus did not have a team score, only sending Ramos,
Kobe Currie, and
Thomas Fasano out on the individual circuit.
Ramos finished strong in the second round, shooting a three-under 67 to finish with a total score of even 140. The Florida native finished just one stroke behind champion Drew Clark from New York University. Fasano shot two sub-80 rounds for a two-day score of 157.
Currie rounded out the Panther scorecard, compiling a 29-over 169 over the 36 holes.
Head Coach
David Mattana and Adelphi will now head to their Regional Showcase at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling, W.Va. starting today (Apr. 22.) This course is the same site of the NCAA East/Atlantic Super Regional, which the Brown and Gold earned an automatic bid for in October after winning the NE10 Championship.
