Garden City, N.Y. - Saint Anselm had a shot to even the score in the final minute of regulation, but timely defense from no. 4 Adelphi men's lacrosse all but secured an 8-7 victory on Saturday afternoon.
The teams traded goals in the opening quarter to be at a 2-2 stalemate after the first frame.
Brian Harinski's goal at 2:04 turned into a six-goal stretch for the home team into the halftime break that saw the Panthers up 7-2.
