West Palm Beach, Fla. - Heading down to the Sunshine State, the Adelphi University men's golf team earned a tenth-place finish in the Keiser Cup earlier this week, hosted by Keiser University at Okeeheelee Golf Course.

The Brown and Gold competed against 13 other schools from Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, and of course, Florida. Adelphi had an initial team score of 25-over 309 on Day 1, but were able to record a sub-300 total on both subsequent days, wrapping up with a 50-over 902 after scoring a 10-over 294 on Day 3.

Sophomore golfer Johnny Solari led the way for the 'Cats, improving his score each day on the course. Starting with a 10-over 81 on Day 1, following scores of 2-over 73 and an even 71 rounded out his 3 day total to 12-over 225. Alec Ramos had the best individual round among his teammates, slotting a 69 on Day 2.

Francis Lanuza opened the tournament with an eye-catching first-round score of even-71. Mason Rivera opened and closed his three-day tournament outing with success, hitting a 3-over 74 on each day. Thomas Fasano rounded out the Panther scorecard with a 244.

Head Coach David Mattana and his Adelphi squad will now take close to a month off, before heading to a one-day tournament hosted by Farmingdale State College on Apr. 1 at the Glen Oaks Club in Old Westbury, N.Y.
