13 Different Players Score in #4 Men's Lacrosse 21-6 Win Over Saint Mike's

Garden City, N.Y. - The no. 4 Adelphi University men's lacrosse team didn't let buckets of rainfall and strong winds deter them from securing a victory on Saturday as the took down Saint Michael's College, 21-6.

With 13 different goal-scorers, the Panthers (5-2, 3-0 NE10) were led by Logan Tucker who netted four goals while Ryan Bauco and Kyle Lewis were each responsible for four points in the win.

A tightly contested first quarter, the Purple Knights's Sean Murphy landed a shot past Dylan Renner to make it a 3-2 contest. Tucker got the last word in for the home team before time expired, when Lewis found him for the man-up equalizer.

The visiting team scored the first goal of the second, but the next six goals all came from the Brown and Gold, who worked out to a 9-4 lead through the halftime break. Robbie Sinibaldi broke the silence after Saint Michael's had not scored in over 18 minutes, but the damage had already been done.

Adelphi continued to put the ball in the back of the cage, rattling off a 10-1 third quarter with a highlighted goal from two long poles. Ryan Butler and Ryan Durnin somehow both made it over midfield and connected for each other's first goal and assist of their careers.

Outscoring their opponent 15-2 in the second half alone, Travis Acquilino and Nicholas Deblanco each tallied their first goals of the season, while Vincent Lombardo and Connor Malley did their part on defense to keep the Purple Knights from scoring.

Adelphi will be on the road for its next contest when it takes on Pace University on Friday, March 29. Opening faceoff is set for 7:00 p.m. under the lights at Northwell Stadium.
