Jenna Jordan put up 22 points in her final regular-season game as a Panther, but it wasn't enough Tuesday in the Adelphi University women's basketball team's 57-43 loss at NE10 foe Assumption University in Worcester.
Jordan shot 9-for-16 from the field in her highest single-game performance since Feb. 10. She also led all players with nine rebounds (six on the offensive glass), finishing one shy of a double-double.
Jordan accounted for half of Adelphi's entire scoring offense on the night. Aside from their leading scorer, the 'Cats were 9-for-37 (24.3 percent) from field-goal range across the forty minutes.
Trailing by double digits at the start of the second half, the 'Cats managed to close the gap in the third and fourth quarters.
Adelphi faced a nine-point deficit at various points of the half, and twice, the Panthers cut it down to five.

Lauren Beberman three even trimmed the Greyhound lead down to 47-43 with 4:44 left. That was Adelphi's last bucket of the game though.
Rolanda Robinson had a line of 11 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals in the contest.
Kaitlyn O'Connell stuffed the stat sheet with four points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals.
The NE10 Tournament gets underway Friday (Mar. 1) for the tenth-seeded Panthers with a first-round game in Pleasantville, N.Y. at No. 7 seed Pace University at 5:30 p.m.
