Cumberland, R.I. - On Saturday, the Adelphi University men's tennis team was unable to withstand Division I Boston University in what was a 7-0 loss at Fore Court Tennis.
The Terriers (7-4) ran many of their starters against the Panthers (4-2), and
Viktor Hockl took BU's No. 2 singles player Jakob Esterowitz to a tiebreaker in the opening set.
Casey Recci battled valiantly in a 6-3, 7-5 defeat in third singles.
Thomas Horsley took the first set at the No. 5 flight, but lost via a 7-5, 4-6, 5-10 scoreline.

Rebecca Fakas mixed up her doubles pairings, with
Marko Jovanovic teaming up with Horsley at No. 1 doubles, and Hockl playing alongside Recci at the No. 3 spot.
The Panthers will now gear up for the resumption of regional competition, beginning Thursday, Mar. 7 against Chestnut Hill College at 2 p.m. at Point Set Racquet Club in Oceanside, N.Y.
