Garden City, N.Y. - Following the conclusion of another 20+ win season, four members of the Adelphi University volleyball program have earned recognition for their academic success alongside their athletic accomplishments.

Noelle Alberda, Kambel Fiser, Macarty McQueen, and Jaydin Nowak were named to the Academic All-District® Volleyball team, selected by College Sports Communicators.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.

Alberda, a four-year letterwinner for the 'Cats, wraps up her remarkable career with a case full of honors, adding Academic All-District to the list for the first time. The exercise science major boasts a 3.943 grade point average and ranked second this season on the team in total kills. She closed out her final five collegiate matches with double digit kills in four of them, while also posting a season high 19  in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

Fiser, no stranger to recognition this season, will take her Northeast-10 Setter of the Year honors to the all-America ballot, as she ranked first in the conference in assists per set all season and concluded the year 21st nationally in the statistic. With a 3.864 - also in exercise science - the Seattle, Washington native will finish in the top-10 in several career categories for the Panthers including a single game record for assists at 62 - which she collected against the Chargers in the first round.

McQueen, a first team NE10 choice led the team in kills, recording double-digits in 18 of 33 matches played. In addition to her offensive statistics, she recorded 209 digs on the other side of the ball and was averaging just under two digs per set in her junior campaign. With a 3.713 grade point average as she pursues a degree in marketing, McQueen will enter her senior campaign with 885 career kills, which puts her right outside the top-10 overall.

Our final Academic All-District honoree is senior libero Jaydin Nowak. The Michigan native assumed the primary role of libero this season, following the graduation of Jamie Yonker. Her 1,352 career digs ranks her inside the top-10 in the record books as she posts a 3.951 GPA in the Willumstad School of Business. Nowak and McQueen are also both members of the business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi, alongside teammates Delaney Kiendra and Gabrielle Stafford

Adelphi finished the 2024 campaign with its third straight appearance in the NCAA Division II Second Round, posting Head Coach Danielle MacKnight's 12th 20-plus win season in 18 years at the helm.
