Mansfield, Mass. — The 2024 season for the Adelphi men's soccer team was one of balance with solid offense and defense across the board. On Tuesday morning that was recognized by the league office as six Panthers earned Northeast-10 all-conference honors.
In his breakout senior season, Pablo Herrera was named first team all-NE10 after leading the league in both goals (11) and points (22). Herrera scored the game-winning goals in victories over Wilmington (Del.), Molloy and the College of Staten Island while also recording his first career hat trick in the team's 5-2 win over Assumption.
Alessio Consoli had an excellent 2024 campaign and was named second team all-conference. The Priverno, Italy native played a key role in the Adelphi central midfield, being in a tie for the team lead in assists with five.
Richard DeBrosse, Pablo Ablanedo and Lucas Nicolaou were all named third-team all conference.
DeBrosse provided a much needed spark on offense for the Panthers, being second on the team with seven goals and scoring the game winner against Assumption.
Ablanedo was a key cog to the midfield as well as a leader on and off the field, being one of the Panthers captains. He finished his final season of collegiate soccer with one goal and two assists.
Nicolaou was a major player on the Adelphi defense all season, playing in 17 contests and accumulating 1,277 minutes on the pitch. The East Meadow native scored the first two goals of his career this season and had a career-high three points in the team's win over Molloy.
Gustav Attas was the lone freshman receiving honors as he was named to the NE10's all-rookie team. The Swede played in 15 games on the Panther back line in his first collegiate season and recorded two assist, both in Adelphi's victory over Bridgeport.
