Men's Tennis Bounces Back With 7-0 Victory Over Farmingdale State

Farmingdale, N.Y. — The Adelphi men's tennis team took a break from conference play on Tuesday afternoon when it took on nearby Division III school Farmingdale State. 

The Panthers started the day off well, sweeping the three doubles matches and taking the first point of the match. The duo of Hugo Munoz Reinoso and Reece Farrow picked up where they left off, earning a convincing 6-1 victory. The rookie pairing of Yannick Stolz and Elouan Boyer continued their good form of play with a 6-3 victory. Casey Recci and Matias Hoyos looked good and won 6-1. 

Victor Hockl would keep momentum going as the Adelphi #1, winning his match 6-2, 6-0. 

Munoz Reinoso had to fight in the first set, but won by a score of 6-4, 6-1. 

Rodrigo Ochoa played well in his match, earning a 6-1, 6-4 victory. 

Hoyos picked up a 6-3, 6-2 win for Panthers. 

Farrow won his first singles match of the young season with a 6-1, 6-0 victory. 

Boyer bounced back after a close loss at St. Michael's and won his matchup 6-2, 6-3. 

The Panthers would move to 3-1 on the year and will return to the court as a team on Sunday morning at 10 a.m. to host Assumption. Farrow and Munoz Reinoso will be heading to the ITA Cup in Rome, Ga. On Thursday to compete in the doubles tournament.
