Colchester, Vt. — The Adelphi men's tennis team headed up to Saint Michael's on Saturday afternoon to continue Northeast-10 conference play.
The Panthers were shorthanded and were forced to forfeit the number three doubles match. Casey Recci and Rodrigo Ochoa unfortunately dropped the number one match, giving the Purple Knights the doubles point.
The rookie duo of Yannick Stolz and Elouan Boyer were impressive in their match, taking home a 6-3 victory.
Every singles match was a battle for the Panthers. Recci had a fantastic comeback, winning his match 2-6, 6-2, 6-1.
Ochoa won in three sets as well, taking home a 6-0, 2-6, 6-1 victory.
Stolz, Boyer and Matias Hoyos all fought hard in their matches but were not able to come through with a win due to tiebreaks.
The Panthers fell, 2-5. The Adelphi men's tennis team will return to the court on Tuesday when they travel to nearby Farmingdale State at 4:30 p.m.
