Concord, N.H. - Earlier this week, the Adelphi University men's golf team tabbed a fifth place finish in the Penmen Invitational hosted by Southern New Hampshire University at Concord Country Club.
The Brown and Gold competed against 13 others schools, anchoring their seven-over score of 287 into the final two rounds on day two to settle at a final tally of 38-over 838.
Filip Wetterqvist led the way for the Panthers, scoring a two day eight-over score of 218. Closely following him were sophomores
Francis Lanuza and
Johnny Solari, each slotting a 12-over 222 by the end of round three.
Mason Rivera and
Alec Ramos continued the start of their junior campaigns with scores of 223 and 225, respectively.
Thomas Fasano compiled an individual score of 232 while newcomer
Axel Romney furthers his collegiate experience with a 224.
Head Coach
David Mattana and Adelphi will be back in action this weekend (Sep. 29-30), when they compete in the Saint Rose Fall Invitiational hosted by The College of Saint Rose at the Guilderland Country Club in Pinehaven, N.Y.
