Men's Tennis Sweeps Franklin Pierce to Extend Win Streak, 7-0

Nashua, N.H. - The winning streak for the Adelphi University men's tennis team has now hit four straight, following Wednesday's 7-0 sweep of Franklin Pierce University in NE10 action at the Longfellow Tennis Club.

It marks the program's first winning streak of four or more matches since the 2016-17 campaign.

In one of their swiftest victories of the spring, the Panthers (8-5, 3-0 NE10) played no tiebreakers or a third set to reach the decisive point.

First, in doubles, Reece Farrow and Viktor Hockl won 6-1 at the No. 3 flight, followed by Thomas Horsley and Thiago Negrao's 6-3 result at No. 2.

Coming off his NE10 Player of the Week performance, Marko Jovanovic prevailed 6-1, 6-2 at the top-singles flight.

Gabriel Balestero took the first two sets by 6-3 scorelines at No. 2 singles. Hockl (6-3, 6-4) and Farrow (6-4, 6-1) each won in straight sets, as well, at No. 4 and No. 5 singles.

Head Coach Rebecca Fakas and her Adelphi squad now come home to Garden City to welcome in Bentley University for a 3 p.m. first serve on Sunday (Apr. 2).
