Sparkill, N.Y. - Missing a few starters, the Adelphi University women's tennis team lost by a 6-1 final to St. Thomas Aquinas College on Sunday morning at the Riley Family Tennis Courts.

Rebecca Fakas was forced to move around her lineup,
Katarina Liedbeck showed out at No. 1 singles.
In her second career start at the top flight, Liedbeck defeated STAC's Samantha Villegas Robles in straight sets, 7-5, 6-4.
Villegas Robles landed on the All-ECC Second Team this past fall, after compiling a 10-2 record in singles competition.
Amanda Franstedt started at No. 2 singles for the third time in her career, while
Carolina Chaves and
Jenelle Downer jumped up to No. 3 and No. 4 singles, respectively.
Fakas and the Panthers next play Post University at home on Friday (Mar. 31) at 1 p.m. in Garden City.
