Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Twelve Score in #6 Men's Lacrosse's Opening Rout of Palm Beach Atlantic

West Palm Beach, FL - Behind goals from 12 different players, the no. 6 Adelphi University men's lacrosse team opened the 2023 campaign with a commanding 21-10 over Palm Beach Atlantic on Friday.

Eamon Hall finished with a team-leading six points behind a hat trick and three assists to boot. Brian Harinski was also responsible for a hat trick as five other players each recorded a pair of goals. In goal for the Panthers, Dylan Renner picked up the win after stopping 14 shots, while the defense held the Sailfish to three or less goals in each quarter.

Last year's leading scorer Joseph Duchnowski got things going for the Brown and Gold less than two minutes into action with Jack Hipchen scoring less than 20 seconds later to take a quick 2-0 lead. Palm Beach Atlantic broke their silence at 8:15 after the Panthers (1-0) tacked on two more goals before closing out the quarter on a 4-1 run, leading by six after 15 minutes of work.

The second frame featured much of the same offensive action, with Adelphi scoring the first three before the home team put up its third tally. At the break, the hosts trailed by seven, although the Panthers may have run up the score if it wasn't for four saves from PBA's Ben Lightsey.

Logan Tucker, Hall and Jason Rebaudo all found ways to score in the third and only put up one more than the home team, who still faced a deficit of eight heading into the final 15 minutes of action.

The Sailfish garnered a bit of momentum in the fourth, scoring back to back goals, but Stephen Bayer, Brendan O'Rourke ,and Vincent McCabe all found the back of the cage for their first career goals for the Panthers.

Adelphi remains in the sunshine state for another non-conference contest on Monday, Feb. 20 at Lynn University. Opening faceoff is set for 6:00 p.m.
