Worcester, Mass. - It was another successful year for second year Head Coach Marc Danin and the Adelphi University men's and women's swimming and diving program, who placed fourth and seventh, respectively at this year's Northeast-10 Conference Championships.

The men's side saw seven podium finishes en route to 286 points for fourth place, which ties the program's best finish since joining the league in the 2009-10 season. For the women, they placed seventh this season, an improvement from a year ago when they came in eighth.

Southern Connecticut claimed the 2023 Men's and Women's Northeast-10 Swimming & Diving titles as the championship came to a close at the WPI Sports & Recreation Center Sunday night. The women finished with 1050.5 total points, winning by over 200 points, while the men won by over 100 points with 710 total. Both SCSU teams edged Bentley in another tight race for the league title.

In addition to seven podium finishes for the Adelphi men, the Panthers also saw four individual records fall alongside two relay records.

Emily Munayirji snapped the 200 backstroke record from 2007, held by Hall of Famer Jerri Lester, which was set at 2:09.16. Munayirji swam a 2:08.94 in the prelims to make top five and advance to the finals where she placed seventh.

Setting two individual records in the 200 IM and 200 freestyle was Cooper Rivers, who placed second in both this year - matching his rookie performance in the former and improving one place in the latter. He also contributed to all three relays that made the podium.

First year Connor Singer was responsible for a silver medal in the 100 breaststroke after a new program record time of 56.95

Brian Klotsche's time of 52.65 was 0.45 off the program record in the 100 back, however this was the highest individual finish of his career and a lifetime best swim, as he competed at his final NE10 Championship. Also earning points for the men was Daniel Dalrymple who clocked in at 21.44 in the 50 yard free finals to account for four points.

In the 1000 freestyle, Delaney Noel cracked the top-five after posting a time of 11:02.00 to earn points for the women, while adding more after her 14th place appearance in the 500 free.  The A final of the women's 200 freestyle relay added a nice 22 points with an eighth place finish, courtesy of Mackenzie Pina, Shannon Pepe, Ashleigh Gault and Munayirji. Gualt and Munayirji teamed up with Noel and Isabella Bonagura in the 400 medley relay to earn a spot in the finals where they added another 24 points to the women's score.

On the diving board, Skyler Nenadich made the finals in the one meter, capping her career with a score of 336.55 and narrowly earning a spot on the podium in the three-meter event, after a score of 352.30 fell 20 points short of third place.
