Syracuse, N.Y. - It was a tough night at Ted Grant Court for the Adelphi University women's basketball team, which fell 76-64 to Le Moyne College in NE10 action Wednesday night in Syracuse.
The dynamic trio of
Jenna Jordan,
Lauren Hammersley and
Ty'zhea Hawkins stood out as bright spots for the Panthers (9-11, 6-9 NE10) yet again.
Jordan finished a rebound shy of a double-double, but dropped another 20-point game in the process. Hammersley sank four threes in an 18-point night off the bench. Hawkins contributed 12 points and three assists.
Le Moyne (16-5, 11-4 NE10)Â still led for the entirety of the game though and forced 16 Adelphi turnovers, leading to a significant 19-4 difference in points off turnovers.
The Panthers managed to stay within a couple possessions in the first half and only trailed 30-26 at the break.
Although Adelphi shot 50.0 percent from the field in the second half, Le Moyne used a 27-16 third quarter to pull away for the victory.
Head Coach
Sade Jackson and the Panthers now come home for Alumni Day on Saturday (Feb. 4) and a 1:30 p.m. tip-off against Southern New Hampshire University.
