Mansfield, Mass. - For the third time in as many seasons, graduate student
Jamie Yonker has been named the Northeast-10 Libero of the Year, announced by the league office on Wednesday. In addition, four other Adelphi volleyball student-athletes earned All-Conference honors this season.
Yonker, who was also a First Team selection, leads the NE10 in total digs (486) heading into Friday's semifinal matchup. The Old Bethpage, NY native ranks second in the conference in digs per set and stands within the top-30 nationally in the same category. A key anchor of Adelphi's back line, she recently exceeded the century mark in assists (102) this season and has chipped in 30 service aces.
A trio of Panthers fill out the NE10 Second Team as

Lilyen McCarthy make their return alongside newcomer
Noelle Alberda, who earns her first all-conference accolades this season.
Valsted is pacing the Adelphi attack to an impressive .231 team hitting percentage, which ranks second in the NE10 and sits at third in the league for assists per set with 8.75. This season alone she's accumulated 532 assists and ranks fourth on the team in digs (182). McCarthy is a back-to-back honoree after chipping in 2.05 kills per set with just under one block per frame at the net. Hailing from Mackinaw, Ill., the junior has recorded 12 games with double-digit kills including in fourth of the last five matches.
Alberda leads the team in total kills (287) and kills per set (3.05) while ranking second and fourth, respectively. This is the first season the junior has been recognized for her talents on the court, as a key piece of the Adelphi offense that defeated Bentley in the team's last game to earn a share of the regular season title.
Rounding out the accoaldes this year is McQueen, who is no stranger to recongition in just her second season. McQueen, who accounts for 242 kills thus far this season is a Third Team honoree in 2023. She also chips in 2.65 digs per set and has 21 service aces on her stat sheet this year.
The Panthers earned the top-seed in the tournament and after defeating Pace on Tuesday, earned hosting rights for the remainder of the tournament. They will take on no. 5 Southern New Hampshire on Friday, Nov. 17 at 5:00 p.m. in semifinal action. In their regular season matchup, Adelphi took a three-set victory from the Penmen, boasting a near .400 team hitting percentage for the match, while holding their opponents to a sub .100 percentage. A season ago, it was SNHU that captured the East Region title, defeating the Cats in five in Springfield, Mass.
