Garden City, N.Y. - The 2023 Northeast-10 Volleyball Championship will run through Garden City this year, and begins Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. with quarterfinal action.Â
Last season's runner-ups, the Panthers, have won the NE10 Conference regular season championship, as the league office announced the Volleyball Championship bracket on Saturday night. The Panthers had not earned a regular season championship since 2015.Â
University of New Haven has also earned a regular season championship and will be the No.2 seed. New Haven's last appearance in the NE10 Championship final was in 2021, and the Chargers are hoping to win their first title since 2017.
Adelphi (23-5, 10-1 NE10) has won three NE10 Championships in school history. The Panthers are ranked #3 in the region and defeated #1 in the region Bentley in five sets on Friday night. Adelphi lost only five sets in NE10 competition.Â
New Haven (20-9, 10-1 NE10) will be the two seed in this year's tournament. The Chargers lone loss in conference play was to the No. 1 seed Adelphi on Halloween night. New Haven was ranked fifth in the regional rankings by NCAA Division II in the latest poll on November 8.Â
The NE10 Championship quarterfinals are scheduled for Tuesday, November 14, and will be hosted by the four highest seeds- Adelphi, New Haven, Bentley (No. 3) and American International (No. 4).Â
The NE10 Championship semifinals will be on Friday, November 17, while the Championship final is set for Saturday, November 18. Both the semifinals and final will be hosted by the highest remaining seeds. All rounds of the Championship will be streamed live on NE10NOW.tv.Â
Postseason admission in all rounds of NE10 fall championships will be $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and children. Current NE10 students, with valid ID, will be admitted free of charge.
