Guilderland, N.Y. - Last weekend, the Adelphi University men's golf team finished in first place amongst four teams who competed at the Saint Rose Fall Shootout at Pinehaven Country Club.
The Brown and Gold's two-day score of 39-over 615 cleared the runner-up score by over 10 strokes.
Alec Ramos used his second-round 73 to finish with a two-day total of 148 (+4), good enough to top the field and take home the individual championship. Ramos became the first individual champion for the 'Cats since
Andrew Brunozzi won the Franklin Pierce Fall Invitational in September 2021.
Francis Lanuza used his even finish on Day 1 to finish tied for third, shooting a two day total of eight-over 152. Junior
Mason Rivera followed close behind, tabbing a two-day score of 155, using his 76 from Round 2 to finish eighth overall.
Sophomore
Johnny Solari used two sub-80 days to complete his two-day scoring at 159, tying for tenth. Newcomer
Axel Romney tallied a 162.
Kobe Currie competed individually, shooting a 79 in his opening round and wrapping up the second day with a total score of 163.

David Mattana and the Panthers will now gear up for the NE10 Championships (Oct. 16-17) at Twin Hills Country Club in Longmeadow, Mass.
