Hot Stretch Continues for Men's Tennis With 5-2 Win at Bentley

Waltham, Mass. - The Adelphi University men's tennis team continued its strong stretch of conference play with a 5-2 victory over Bentley University on Saturday in Waltham.

Now winners of five of their last six, the Panthers improved to 7-6 overall and 5-1 against NE10 opposition.

Bentley (10-8, 2-2 NE10) came within a singles victory of leveling the match, but Pietro Sole and Salomon Arce Lema clinched it late for Adelphi.

Sole (6-3, 6-3) and Arce Lema (6-2, 6-1) only dropped a combined nine games at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively.

Additionally, Sole and Arce Lema both played a key role in helping the Panthers secure victories at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.

Reece Farrow was a straight-set winner at No. 4 singles, where he prevailed 6-2, 6-3. Marko Jovanovic followed Farrow's finish with a 7-5, 6-3 victory in the top-singles position.

Head Coach Rebecca Fakas and her Adelphi squad will now prepare for their biggest test, in the team's regular-season finale against NE10 rival and defending conference champion Le Moyne College on Wednesday, Apr. 20 at 3:30 p.m. in Syracuse, N.Y.
