DeWitt, N.Y. - The Adelphi University men's tennis team is now ramping up for the playoffs, after Wednesday's 7-0 season-concluding loss to NE10 rival Le Moyne College at Elevate Fitness.
Even with the postseason picture still taking shape, the Panthers (7-7, 5-2 NE10) have clinched the No. 3 seed in the 2022 NE10 Championship.
With the regular season set to conclude for the NE10 on Saturday, Adelphi's first-round opponent will then be confirmed.
Although
Marko Jovanovic and
Gabriel Balestero prevailed 6-4 at top doubles, the doubles point had already been conceded to Le Moyne.
In singles,
Pietro Sole forced a third set at the No. 3 flight with a 6-4 second-set victory.
Luke Attride-Stirling dropped a tough second-set tiebreaker at fifth singles, 6-7 (2-7).
