Waltham, Mass. - The no. three ranked Adelphi men's lacrosse team won its 12th game of the season in a 18-11 decision against the no.16 ranked Bentley University.

Joseph Duchnowksi recorded a new career high in goals and points with six and nine respectively. James Hall and Kyle Steinbach each finished with their own hat-trick as well.

Adelphi (12-1, 9-0) struck first with an early goal from Joseph Diggle less than a minute into the game. Bentley's Matty O'Brien responded and tied it up after taking advantage of a Man-up opportunity. With the score one all, the Panthers reacted with three continuous goals looking to go into the second quarter with a 4-1 lead. But Bentley ended the quarter with two points of their own as Ryan Birch and Ben Baldasaro got past Dylan Renner to make it 4-3 Adelphi.

Duchnowski made his presence known in the second frame, assisting on a Hall goal and netting two of his own. 99's offensive help was needed as Bentley caused three turnovers and found the back of the net twice to tie the game at five all. The Panthers answered with two more points to head into the second half leading 7-5.

The Cats set the tone in the beginning of the half with a 5-0 run started off by early goals from Duchnowski and Steinbach. Adelphi's defense could not match the production of its offense as it allowed five goals in the third quarter. A last second Luke Jaber point brought the home team within three as they headed into the final frame.

After letting up five goals in the previous quarter, Adelphi's defense was stout, only allowing one point in the final 15 minutes. Renner finished the game with 11 saves, five just in the fourth frame. The offense finished clicking, scoring five goals to run away with the lead and win the game 18-11.
