Oceanside, N.Y. - On Saturday, the Adelphi University men's tennis team opened NE10 competition with a 6-1 victory over Saint Michael's College at the Point Set Racquet Club in Oceanside.
The win snapped a skid of four straight and improved the Panthers to 3-5 overall and 1-0 in conference matches.
After a sweep of all three doubles matches, the Brown and Gold's attention turned toward singles play.
Each of Adelphi's five singles victories occurred in straight sets.
Marko Jovanovic only lost three games in a 6-1, 6-2 win at the top flight, while
Gabriel Balestero won a pair of tiebreakers in the No. 2 singles match.
Reece Farrow prevailed 6-2, 6-4 in third singles.
