Kerrin Heuser tallied a team-best four goals in a 22-7 victory on Saturday, in a Northast-10 matchup with Southern New Hampshire.
Heuser led all players with four goals, as
Izzy Grant and
Kelly-Ann McGrath both recorded hat tricks in the win. Ten additional players found the back of the net with
Gianna Bifulco and
Emily Beier each adding two goals apiece.
Adelphi (4-0, 1-0 NE10) outscored the Penmen (2-1, 0-1 NE10) in the opening frame 4-1 en route to an 8-4 advantage at the half.
The Panthers scored a season-best 10 goals in the third quarter to take an 18-5 lead after 45 minutes of work with
Tamia Lawson,
Fiona Rafferty and
Jamie Mecca all recording their first goals of the year.
It was the home team that held a 4-2 edge in the final 15 minutes of work to maintain their advantage, en route to a 22-7 win.
The team raised over $500 for Mitochondrial Disease Awareness and the LexisMightoFight Foundation in support of their Friends of Jaclyn teammate Lexi Corvino.
The Panthers are back in action on Tuesday, Mar. 22 when they head to the University of New Haven for a 7:00 p.m. matchup.
