Volleyball Appears Fourth in First NCAA Regional Ranking, Seeded Third in NE10 Tournament

Indianapolis, Ind. - While appearing at no. 4 in the NCAA Regional rankings released last week, the Adelphi University volleyball program has also earned the no. 3 seed ahead of the Northeast-10 Conference tournament, scheduled to being Thursday, Nov. 10. 

The Panthers, who entered November with a 13-game win streak and undefeated October, sit behind no. 1 American International, no. 2 Bentley and no. 3 Daemen College. Rounding out the top five is Saint Anselm College, who Adelphi defeated 3-0 on Oct. 22 in Manchester, NH. 

Bentley University and American International College shared the Regular Season crown after posting an 11-1 record in league play, after the Yellow Jackets earned the tiebreak with their head-to-head win over the Falcons. 

The Brown and Gold will host a first round playoff game on Thursday, Nov. 10 and welcome the Chargers from the University of New Haven to the Center for Recreation and Sports for a 7:00 p.m. first serve. Earlier in the season, the Panthers went to Charger Gymnasium and stole a four-set win from the home team, which marked the program's 11th consecutive victory. 

Tickets will be sold for the quarterfinal contest at $10 for adults, $5 for seniors/children and free admission will be granted for all students.
