Colchester, VT - The Adelphi University women's cross country teamed raced to a second place finish on Sunday afternoon at the 2022 Northeast-10 Championship, posting their best placement since 2012.
The men, who were projected to finish in sixth, took home a team finish of 10th overall.Â
Led by
Katherine Marsh ,who crossed the finish line in third overall, the Panthers saw four land in the top-15.
Isabel Marsh,
Grace Minikel and
Rachel Tucci came in as a trio to place 11th, 12th and 13th respectively. All three earn Third Team All-Conference honors as a result.Â
K. Marsh averaged 6:04 per mile, to come in in a time of 22:38.0, which is nearly three minutes faster than her NE10 race from a season ago. Placing in the top eight, she earns NE10 First Team All-Conference accolades.Â
Top finisher for the men was
Adam Zelin, who came in at 45th overall, in a time of 27:59.9 in his first NE10 championship outing.Â
The Panthers will prepare now for the NCAA East Region race, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 19 as the host institution.Â
