Manchester, N.H. - Coming off its first conference loss of the year, the Adelphi University women's tennis team handled Saint Anselm College to the tune of a 7-0 rout Tuesday afternoon at the South Athletic Field Courts in Manchester.

In each of their five victories this year, the Panthers (5-2, 4-1 NE10) have not surrendered a singles or doubles match to an opponent.

A perfect 12-0 all-time against the Hawks since joining the NE10, Adelphi lost a total of five games in doubles competition to start the match.

Katarina Liedbeck and Amanda Franstedt improved to 2-0 at No. 1 doubles with a 6-2 victory. Caterina Federici and Sanne Selmer Gilje also prevailed 6-2 at No. 2 doubles. The reigning NE10 All-Conference pairing of Julia Kielan and Carolina Chaves won 6-1 at the No. 3 flight.

Selmer Gilje (6-0, 6-4) and Jenelle Downer (6-0, 6-1) each put up a 6-0 opening-set victory in their individual triumphs at No. 1 and No. 6 singles.

Liedbeck and Kielan won by identical 6-2, 6-1 scorelines at No. 2 and No. 5 singles, respectively.

Federici claimed a 6-4, 6-0 victory in her third-singles match, while Franstedt was a 6-1, 6-2 straight-set winner at the No. 4 flight.
