Bethlehem, PA - Led by Adelphi University sophomore
Diego Llanos, the Adelphi University men's cross country team raced to a 14th place team finish out of a field of 40 teams at the 48th Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University on Friday.
Llanos rounded out the top 10 in a group of nearly 350 harriers placing 10th in a time of 25:23.8 in the 8k. His last two 8K outings were both above 26 minutes, so his new time stands as a career-best in the distance. Also appearing in the top-100 was

Falling in the top-100 were
Jake Orfano and
Adam Zelin who finished seconds apart at 26:51 and 26:57, respectively.
Adelphi was the top-team out of the East Region to finish in the men's white 8k event, as they placed better than Saint Anselm, Molloy, Chestnut Hill, Georgian Court and Caldwell.
A small squad for both the men and women will attend the Lewis Crossover in Romeoville, IL next weekend, as the team races twice in October to prepare for Northeast-10 Conference Championships, scheduled for Nov. 6.
