Manchester, N.H. - After a walk-off victory against Bridgeport, the Adelphi University softball team's season came to an end with a 5-3 loss to Georgian Court in the NCAA East Regional on Friday at the South Athletic Field on the campus of Saint Anselm College.
Game 1: Adelphi 4, Bridgeport 2
With two outs and two runners on, Faith Camilleri blasted a three-run walk-off home run to keep Adelphi's hopes alive in the tournament.

Jaden Farhat came in to pinch hit and poked a single to right field and stole second to get things going for the Panthers. Lauren O'Neill walked three batters later, before Camilleri stepped to the plate.

Bridgeport took the lead in the third inning and maintained it until the last frame. Taylor Yates sent one out that was good for two runs. The Purple Knights put five runners on after the home run, but were not able to convert any into runs.

Lindsey Hibbs earned the start and stayed in for two innings, before Claire Fon came in for one. Nicole Mengel picked up the win inside the circle, after throwing three innings, allowing just one hit and no runs.

Game 2: Adelphi 3, Georgian Court 5
Georgian Court hit an early solo home run, but Emily Whitman crossed the plate on a Camilleri RBI groundout in the home half of the first to even the score.

The Lions capitalized on Adelphi errors, scoring two runs in the fifth and another pair in the sixth that were enough to win the game. Georgian Court outhit Adelphi 10-4 in the contest.

The Panthers pushed two more across in the sixth, with Whitman once again scoring off a Camilleri RBI. Sophia Cicchetti was the last run to cross home off Hannah Pineda's double to left center.

Ally Muller started the game and threw four innings, with six strikeouts and one earned run allowed. Mengel and Fon also saw time in the circle, combining for just two hits and one walk.

The Adelphi softball team concluded its season with an overall record of 30-10. Under third year head coach Carla Campagna, the Panthers were NE10 Southwest Division regular-season champions and were finalists in the NE10 Conference Championship.
