Softball Splits with Le Moyne on Day Two; 3-0, 1-0

Garden City, N.Y. - The Adelphi University softball team split with Le Moyne on day-two of the Northeast-10 Conference weekend series on Sunday, 3-0 and 0-1.

Game 1: Adelphi 3, Le Moyne 0
All batters for Adelphi and Le Moyne were retired in order until the third inning, thanks to Ashley Lombardi's triple down the right field line. During the next at bat, Owens poked a sacrifice fly to shallow left field that scored Lombardi.

Faith Camilleri and Kendall Winn led-off the fifth inning with back-to-back walks. Camilleri scored on a wild pitch by the Dolphins, and Winn tagged up on a Lombardi sacrifice line drive to left giving the home team a 3-0 advantage.

Ally Muller once again took the win for the Panthers, boosting her season record to 11-2. Muller totaled eight strikeouts, two hits and one walk in the game. This is the eighth consecutive game that she has held her opponents scoreless.

Game 2: Adelphi 0, Le Moyne 1
The game was decided during the last two frames of play. Le Moyne's Cassidy Barrett sent a double into left center to start the rally for the Dolphins. Taylor Cox came in to pinch run for Barrett, and later scored the only run of the game off a triple to left center.

During the Panther's last appearance at the plate, Faith Camilleri ripped a line drive up and was moved over to second on sacrifice bunt, but Adelphi was unable to push her across. The hosts were out-hit by Le Moyne during game two, 5-3.

Lindsay Hibbs threw her first complete game for the Brown and Gold, tossing a career-best seven strikeouts.

The Panthers are back at Janet L. Ficke Field this Tuesday, Apr. 20, for a doubleheader against Pace University. First pitch is set for 2:30 p.m.
