Ludlow, Mass. - In a match that had its start time pushed up due to poor weather conditions, the Adelphi University women's tennis team defeated American International College, 7-0, in an NE10 Sunday matinee at the Ludlow Tennis Club.
The Panthers (6-1, 6-1 NE10), who have now won five in a row, lost only a combined one game in doubles and shut out three of its singles opponents.
In doubles,
Barbie Quagliardi and
Nicole Kielan won 6-1 at the top flight, and
Amanda Franstedt and
Nicole Stay prevailed 6-0 in the No. 2 position.
Then, in singles, Quagliardi, Stay and Franstedt all came away with 6-0, 6-0 decisions. Kielan fell into a one-set hole, but rallied to win her top-singles match in three sets; 1-6, 6-0, 10-4.

Rebecca Fakas and her Adelphi squad return to action Wednesday (Apr. 14), when they travel to Waltham, Mass. for an 11 a.m. match at Bentley University.
