Pleasantville, N.Y. - The Adelphi University softball team advanced to 3-1 in conference play on Sunday after sweeping Pace University in Northeast-10 Conference play.
Game 1: Adelphi 7, Pace 0
The result was never really in doubt. Adelphi (4-1) scored six runs in the first three innings of play to build an early lead.

Ally Muller pitched her second complete game of the season, and it was a one-hit shutout. The senior retired eight batters via strikeout.

Scoring four in the second inning, the Brown and Gold stole six bases, including a pair at the dish.
The Setters got on the board for the first time of the day in the bottom of the third on a bases-loaded infield single, before a 1-2-3 double play ended the inning.
Pinch-hitter
Kendall Winn drove a ball to the left field fence to bring
Ashley Lombardi home in the seventh. O'Neill would follow with a base hit to right field, scoring Winn. The Panthers took a seven-run lead.
Pace sent two home in return, in an effort to come back, but it was not enough.
