Mansfield, Mass. - A No. 7 seed in this year's tournament, the Adelphi University women's soccer team is riding high into the 2021 NE10 Championship.

The Panthers posted an unbeaten 3-0-1 record across their last four regular-season games, which included a scoreless draw at Sunday's first-round opponent -- then-No. 7 The College of Saint Rose.

In the current four-game unbeaten stretch, Adelphi has not allowed a goal. The scoreless streak stands at 416:13.

With two rising first-year players (Kayla Mushorn, Morgan Salmon) helping to lock down the back line, Adelphi has let up one goal or fewer in seven of their last nine games. The Panthers currently rank among the top half of the conference in fewest goals allowed with 16.

On the attack, Carly Issing has broken out for four goals and nine points in her last five contests. She presently stands as the fourth-leading scorer in the NE10 with seven goals and 17 points. 

Six of their last seven meetings with Saint Rose have been decided by a goal or less. Adelphi reeled off a four-game winning streak against Saint Rose from 2015-17 that included a 1-0 win for its most recent NE10 Tournament title.

The Panthers will get underway with Saint Rose on Sunday (Nov. 7) at 1 p.m. at the Plumeri Sports Complex in Albany, N.Y.

That winner will meet either No. 3 seed Bentley or No. 6 seed Saint Anselm in the semifinals Thursday (Nov. 11) at the higher seed. Adelphi last appeared in the semifinal round of the NE10 Championship in 2016.
