Garden City, N.Y. - The No. 9 Adelphi University field hockey team stretched it's win streak to eight after a senior day victory over Franklin Pierce on Saturday, 6-1.
Adelphi (11-4, 9-3) continued to be an offensive threat taking 22 shots with 18 on goal.

Kelsey Catalano put the Panthers on the board in the seventh minute, poking one past the Ravens (2-13, 1-11) off a pass from senior
Jackie Brown. The senior had three points on the game with her tally in the first quarter.
With a goal by Franklin Pierce forward Feline van Doorn to bring the game within one in the opening quarter,
Morgan Minicozzi netted a penalty stroke to put the home team up by two at the half.
Despite a 3-1 score entering the half, Adelphi's offense produced four goals in the second half, highlighted by graduate student
Danielle Kempf who notched the final two tallies of the match.
Amanda Montiel saw two shots, making one save to advance to 11-4 on the season.
The Brown and Gold will travel to Pace University on Tuesday, Oct. 26 for a 4 p.m. start.
