Pleasantville, N.Y. - Despite building a 2-0 lead in the second half, the No. 8 Adelphi University field hockey team fell to Pace on Wednesday night, 3-2. 
The score was tied headed into the half, with Adelphi (11-5, 9-3) leading five shots to four over Pace (12-5, 9-4). The Panthers broke open the scoring in the 35th minute off a goal from junior 
Giana McKeough. Less than one minute later 
Kelsey Catalano added a tally to the board, putting the Brown and Gold up 2-0.
In the 37th minute Pace forward Cienna Bosher netted a penalty stroke to bring the Setters within one. Before the third quarter ended, Pace scored the equalizer to tie to game leading into the final 15 minutes of play. 
Pace put one more in the back of the cage at the 50:33 mark to take a 3-2 lead. Adelphi was ultimately unable to convert on the seven penalty corners and four shots they took after the go ahead tally was scored. 
Amanda Montiel earned another start in the cage for Adelphi making 10 saves. 
The Panthers will return to Garden City tomorrow for the final game of the regular season, facing off against Molloy at 3 p.m.
