Garden City, N.Y. - The No. 9 Adelphi University field hockey team advanced its win streak to five on Saturday, taking down New Haven 9-1.
Emily Reichenbach scored for the Panthers (8-4, 6-3) in the eighth minute of the contest to start up a six-goal run for the home team.
Adelphi put up five goals in the second period to stretch the lead to 6-0 before the half.

Giana McKeough all contributed to the second quarter scoring, with Deleva and McKeough notching two tallies apiece, for three goals each on the game.
With only one shot taken between the two teams with just under three minutes to go in the third quarter, New Haven's Julia Battino got the Chargers (8-6, 8-2) on the board in the 42nd minute to make the score 6-1.
The Panthers challenged New Haven goalkeeper Keira Integlia with 26 shots on goal. Adelphi's Amand Montiel protected the Panther's cage with just two saves off three shots on goal.
Adelphi will take the field at Saint Thomas Aquinas on Wednesday, Oct. 20 for a NE10 match-up slated to begin at 3 p.m.
