Garden City, N.Y. - In honor of College Colors Day, a national day created in 2004 by The College Licensing Company, Adelphi University has several discounts on apparel at both online retailers.

This day encourages everyone to display their team spirit, which has long been a foundation of cheering athletes to victory. Wearing the colors of the school goes along with the energy of gameday. Not only does it bring back memories, but it carries on traditions. Sometimes, these traditions run deep, too. 

The school colors are officially brown and gold—brown representing the arts, and gold representing the sciences. Appropriately, the school flower is the brown-eyed Susan. When walking through campus, visitors will see them among the many flora and fauna, which happens to be an arboretum and was voted Best Public Garden on Long Island by the readers of the Long Island Press.
