Garden City, N.Y. - Due to her outstanding diving performance this year, which included a third place finish at the 2020 Northeast-10 Conference Swimming and Diving Championships,
Skyler Nenadich has earned a spot at the 2020 NCAA Division II qualification meet, scheduled for March 10.
To advance to the national championships, a diver must participate in a qualification meet, which will be conducted at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio, the day before the start of the national championships and be one of the top 22 in order to advance.
Nenadich is one of 58 divers that appear on the Division II women's top diving report from the 2019-20 season. Her point total of 467.1 on 11 dives from the Queens/Baruch dual meet was enough to give her the top score on the list of 1-meter competitors.
A three-time NE10 Rookie of the Week, she placed 4th in 3 meter diving, just missing the podium by five points at the NE10 Championships. She was able to make her way to the platform and earned a medal by placing third in the one meter event, posting an overall finals score of 381.90, nearly 20 points more than the next finisher.
The women's 3-meter diving finals will take place on the first day, Wednesday, March 11 and the 1-meter event is tentatively slated for Friday, March 13.
