The Panthers (13-1, 10-0 NE10) got on the board quickly, scoring three in the opening five minutes of action and added four more over the following 13 minutes to command a 7-0 lead in the early going. Franklin Pierce (6-7, 3-7 NE10) managed to break the silence at 16:17 with two consecutive goals, but the half expired with four more tallies from the visiting team jump started with a score form
Lena Riportella.
Chelsea Abreu had a hand in both of the first two goals of the second half, scoring one and assisting Pollock with the other. The Raven's leading scorer Savannah Ernst brought the home team back within 10 but Pollock converted the next two free position shots to push Adelphi back out to 12-goal advantage.
It was the home team that scored last, accounting for two in the remaining four minutes, however the deficit was too great to overcome. In all, both teams finished 17-18 in clear attempts, but Adelphi held the upper hand in nearly every category, including a staggering 23-8 advantage in shots on goal.
