Miami Shores, Fla. - The Adelphi University baseball team dropped the opening game of its Florida stretch against Barry University on Friday, 7-1.
Trailing 7-0 after six, Adelphi's lone run of the game came in the seventh off a single up the middle by

Lucas Terwilliger.
The tandem, along with
Tyler Becker,

The Buccaneers (12-4, 6-3 SSC) got off to a hot start, scoring a pair of runs in the first, followed by three runs third inning to go up 5-0 on the Panthers going into the fourth. An RBI double put two on the board, followed by a wild pitch and a sacrifice fly to center field increased the home team's lead by four.
After two walked runs, another sacrifice fly to center gave Barry a 7-0 cushion going into the fourth, but relievers Nicholas Mricich,
Kevin Glasser,
Josh Rovner and

The Brown and Gold return to Barry's campus tomorrow afternoon to face off with the Falcons of Felician University. The first pitch will be thrown at 12 p.m.
