Connor Dove scored a debut victory in singles match action for the Adelphi University men's tennis team on Saturday.
Playing his second singles match of the season, but first above No.6, Dove was a 6-4, 6-3 victor at No.4 singles for the Panthers, who were upended 6-1 by ASA College, a perennial national contender in the NJCAA ranks.
Adelphi (0-5) lost both contested doubles matches by 6-2 sets, and lost the top three singles matches as well.
David Robres de Veciana won the opening set at the second spot, but eventually fell to Vladyslav Kulakov, 3-6, 6-1, 6-1.
The Panthers return to Northeast-10 Conference action on Saturday, March 23 when they host SNHU at 2 p.m.
