Garden City, N.Y.- Field hockey sophomore, 
Kaylee Deleva netted the game-winning goal in no. 7 Adelphi University's shut out of no. 8 Assumption in a Northeast-10 contest Saturday afternoon. 
The first quarter went by scoreless, with the Greyhounds (11-2, 7-2 NE10) in control for the bulk of the first fifteen quarter, logging three shots as Adelphi (10-2, 8-1 NE10) goalie, Stephanie Peregallo made two saves. Before this game, the visitors were ranked third in all of NCAA Division II in goals per game and second in scoring margin. 
For the remainder of the half, the Panthers logged three shots, two of which were taken by standout senior 
Elissa Frein.
The home team found the back of the net midway into the final quarter of play, as Deleva netted her fourth goal of the season with an assist from the top of the arc by rookie 
Bianca Bachisin.
The Greyhounds out shot Adelphi, 8-4, but were unable to get by Peragallo. The graduate student recorded a season high five saves for her third shut out, advancing to 5-0.
The Brown and Gold continue NE10 action on the road Tuesday against Mercy College at 3:00 p.m.
