Mansfield, Mass. - Nicolas Racalbuto,
Michael Osmundsen and
Mark Andrejack of Adelphi men's lacrosse have been named to the Northeast-10 All-Conference First Team, announced Thursday morning by the conference office. They lead eight selections in total for the Panthers, matching their number from a year ago.
Racalbuto, a sophomore attackman, has played in all 14 games for Adelphi thus far, and leads the team in scoring with 37 goals. He is fourth in the conference in goals scored but also accounts for 23 ground balls and three caused turnovers. This is second season earning all-conference honors, after being named to the all-rookie squad last season.
Osmundsen grabs his first First Team nod, after being a second team selection in 2017 and a USILA Honorable Mention All-American. He is currently tied for second on the team with 24 goals and has added 15 assists to stand at 39 points. To-date he has collected 35 ground balls and caused eight turnovers.
Andrejack, who continues to excel as a faceoff specialist, posts a .706 win-percentage for the Panthers, which ranks him sixth in NCAA Division II. He leads the program with 126 ground balls and ranks second in the conference in the same category. This is his first all-conference nod wearing a Panther uniform.
Three more members of the program have earned inclusion on the All-Conference Second Team, in
Dylan Crossan,
John Arcidiacono, and
Justin Napolitano, as voted on by the conference coaches. Crossan is tops on the team and in the nation with assists per game (3.0) and leads the Brown and Gold in points this season (57). He has started and played in all 14 games
An all-rookie pick last year Arcidiacono works his way up to the second team after 20 goals and four assists so far this year. He has also collected 11 ground balls and caused seven turnovers, while also netting the OT gamewinner against Bentley in April. Napolitano earns a nod for his efforts on defense, as he leads the team in caused turnovers (14) in 14 games played/started. Additionally the defenseman has made his way to the other side of the field and accounted for four goals.
Rounding out the All-Conference selections are
James Hall and
Sean McGovern who landed on the All-Rookie team. Hall has made an appearance in each of the 14 games played so far and scored on 12 different occasions. He has also grabbed 15 ground balls and posts a shot-on-goal percentage of .717. McGovern, has picked up 12 starts in his freshman campaign, and sits third on the team in caused turnovers (11), while also adding three goals.
The program advanced to the NE10 semifinals after an early week first round win over Pace University. They are slated to take on no. 2 Merrimack on Friday, May 4 in North Andover, Mass. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m.
