Marciano Snags Second Major Honor, Leads Five All-ECAC Selections in Soccer

Danbury, Conn. - A total of five Adelphi University soccer players earned All-East Coast Athletic Conference honors for their performances in the 2018 season, announced by the league office on Tuesday.

The ECAC is an association of all three NCAA divisions, established in 1938. In total, 26 Division II institutions in the eastern half of the United States are represented, spanning from Connecticut to Missouri to Georgia.

NE10 Rookie of the Year Paolo Marciano earned his second major award, as he also claimed ECAC Rookie of the Year honors, and was named First Team All-ECAC along with James Thristino, Patrick Guier and Alessandro Corti. 

For the women's team, First Team All-Conference and Third Team All-Region honoree Kerianne Scorce was also named All-ECAC.

Adelphi University joined the Northeast-10 Conference in the fall of 2009, and in the past nine seasons, has collected 28 regular season conference titles, 30 tournament championships, 41 individual crowns and captured the Northeast-10 Presidents' Cup four times (2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017), while winning six NCAA Division II National Championships.
