Lexington, Ky. - As announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA),
Sara Bisbe and
Katarina Warburton each earned their first All-Region nods of their career, following the 2018 season. Additionally, Bisbe followed up the all-region accolades with an All-America Honorable Mention nod, also from the AVCA.
The Barcelona, Spain native led the team this season in kills (409) and averaged 3.59 per set to rank in the top five in the league. Additionally, Bisbe was named a First Team All-Conference honoree, having led the conference in service aces (67) coupled with service aces per set.
All her efforts this season place her in the top-five in the Adelphi record books for several single-season categories.
Bisbe joins Shelby Stoner,
Megan Manierski and Kaitlyn Destefano as honorable mentions and a slew of players who earned All-Region status.
Grabbing her first All-Region nod was NE10 Libero of the Year Warburton, who was also named to the All-Conference First Team. She passed the 1,000 dig career milestone this season, adding 657 to her total, which puts her second in the same single-season category.
She also led the conference in digs this past season, including a new career-high and school single-match record of 40 digs in a four-set victory at NYIT.
The 2018 team closed the season with an overall record of 27-7 with a berth into both the NE10 and NCAA Tournament.
