New Haven, Conn. - Four different members of the Adelphi University women's lacrosse program scored at least a hat trick, if not more, in an 18-3 victory over Northeast 10 opponent Southern Connecticut State University Wednesday evening.
Leading the Panthers (7-0, 5-0 NE10) was

Kole Pollock and
Alison Johnson accounted for six points apiece, the first chipping in five goals and one assist and the latter splitting goals and assists with three apiece. Also scoring a hat trick in the win was

It was the Johnson and Jahelka show early in the going as the visitors hopped out to a 3-0 lead five minutes into the game. Pollock and Abreu combined to contribute the next four goals, with over 15 minutes left still in the first frame. Much of the first 30 minutes was spent in the offensive end for the Panthers, as they held an 18-2 shot advantage with 14 shots on goal. Adelphi was a perfect 9-9 in clears and won eight draw controls compared to a 4-8 performance for clears from the hosts and two shots on goal.
Jahelka closed out the last 12 minutes with a hat trick, but not before the home team netted their first goal at 8:01, to cut the deficit, still trailing by 11 at the half. After the second half opened with two quick goals from Adelphi, Southern Connecticut netted back-to-back goals making it a 14-3 game, in favor of the visitors.
